Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology
The appointee will be responsible for providing strategic and management support to Centre. Major duties include providing support for the development and implementation of strategic professional development of the University; coordinating the application of teaching and learning related initiatives aiming to strive for excellence in teaching; providing support for the development and accreditation of programmes catered to teaching in higher education; and working in collaboration with all academic and support units of the University to enhance the quality of learning and teaching, for example, through promotion of innovative learning and teaching approaches, e-Learning and application of technology-enhanced pedagogies. The appointee will serve or join various Boards/committees as required, and should establish a sound network with external parties to promote joint collaboration with the Centre. The initial appointment will be for a period of 24 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree, with substantial senior management experience in sizable organizations, preferably in tertiary institutions; strong leadership; excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They should also be proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), be highly self-motivated and able to work under pressure and lead in a multidisciplinary team environment. Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree holder in the area of Education would be an advantage.
