The Department of Social Work invites applications for the following post for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youth' Project. This Project targets youth aged 15 to 21, including upper secondary school students and out-of-school youth (e.g. non-engaged youth, at-risk youth, early dropouts, etc.). Through a combination of school programmes, community-based services and a tailor-made e-paltform, the Project aims to build an effective, holistic and sustainable career and life planning model in helping our youth pursue their life and career goals.
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and the research team to conduct research work relevant to achieving the objectives of the Project.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree in social sciences or a related discipline. Preference will be given to those with exposure in youth work, social work, or human services. They should be able to work independently and as a member of the team. Those who apply for the post of Senior Research Assistant should have a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of post-qualification research experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years commencing December 2016. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
