Senior Stables Officer (Workforce)

The Department

Our Racing Operations Department manages vast areas where horses train and race. It is an interesting, busy and natural environment where you will find some of Hong Kong's most colourful people, like racing professionals, world class sportsman, agronomist and engineers. We are looking for a proactive and highly-motivated individual to join our team.

 

The Job

You will:

  • assist the Stables Management in planning and managing around 900 stables workforce to ensure effective and smooth running of the racing stables
  • arrange accurate distribution of stables prize money and allowance to eligible stables staff as well as ensure proper financial control is exercised and payment is made on time and accurately

  • be responsible for the charging of livery, feed and fodder, bedding and other stables consumption costs

  • assist in developing new process on improving efficiency and reducing cost of horses ownership

  • prepare financial analysis report and assist in building business cases and scenario analysis to support business growth

  • perform general office administration work and ad hoc projects

  • perform racedays duties

 

About You

You should have:

  • tertiary education with at least 5 years of related administrative experience
  • good people management skill in a sizable operation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • good analytical and presentation skills for effective communication
  • some racing knowledge and passion with horses will be considered an added advantage
  • high integrity and be a team player but able to work on own initiative

 

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
