The Sourcing Coordinator role is responsible for the SAP /PLM setup as well as the raising and maintenance of PO’s. Tracking and chasing in production and maintaining delivery dates in SAP and providing accurate reporting of current delivery picture to Sourcing Managers.  This key role will be involved in vendor on-boarding.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Raise and manage POs as well as updating SAP data & ex-factory dates
  • Send buying summaries to vendors, order and manage swing tickets as well as resolving issues regarding composition labels
  • Maintain costs in SAP after PO has been created and update POs
  • Review buying summaries, re-confirm delivery, price, quantity with vendors
  • Follow up with vendors on fabric and trims bookings and calling off
  • Approval on bulk shell fabric and trims as needed
  • Diagnose production problems and works with vendors to present alternatives
  • Ensure vendors send out packing list timely to get inbound
  • Follow-up on inbound issuance and ship mode and follow up on any shipping issues
  • Follow up on vendor payments if necessary
  • Work with Vendor on FOB Time and Action Calendar for raw material pre-buys if necessary

 Requirements: 

  • Strong in Excel/Word/Powerpoint
  • SAP Experience is desirable
  • Strong costing & negotiation skills
  • Proven experience in previous production/manufacturing roles
  • Good verbal & written communication in English as well as Mandarin
  • Organized, efficient, self-motivated and solution-oriented
  • Detail-minded with strong follow-through
  • Travel to factories in South China would be needed (approximately once a month)
