Stables Officer (Services)

The Department

 

Our Racing Operations Department manages vast areas where horses train and race. It is an interesting, busy and natural environment where you will find some of Hong Kong's most colourful people, like racing professionals, world class sportsman, agronomist and engineers. We are looking for a proactive and highly-motivated individual to join our team. 

The Job

You will:

  • work closely with Corporate Facility Management Team on effective implementation of maintenance programmes in stables to ensure that stables facilities / equipment are maintained in the best possible condition at all times based on the Service Level Agreement
  • monitor FM Team to plan and maintain round the clock operation of all buildings inside stables compound, electrical and mechanical installations to ensure that they are operated in a safe and efficient manner
  • support the Stables Refurbishment Project and coordinate with FM Team to supervise those facility services related service contractors to ensure their services are rendered competently within budget and program timelines
  • assist in preparing annual stables maintenance and capital works budgets as well as monitor the spending are within the approved budgets
  • support implementation of sustainability initiatives such as increasing the efficiency of waste collection from stables, reducing water consumption and waste disposal to landfill
  • perform race meeting duty to support the smooth running of race day operations 

 

About You

You should have:

  • degree in Facility Management / Property Management or related disciplines
  • at least 3 years of Facility Management / Property Management experience in managing sizable facilities / properties
  • be conversant with building, building services, mechanical and electrical engineering technology
  • excellent customer services in dealing with different stakeholders in sizeable / complex operation
  • knowledge / experience on wastes management or some racing knowledge and passion with horses would be an added advantage
