Established by the Government in 1989, The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has five schools, namely the School of Arts & Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business & Administration, School of Education & Languages, School of Science & Technology, and the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional & Continuing Education. Through them, we have been providing full-time and part-time programmes at undergraduate, post-graduate, and sub-degree levels.
Today we have over 9,000 full-time and 10,000 part-time students at OUHK with more than 220 programmes of studies. The Division of Nursing and Health Studies of the School of Science & Technology offers undergraduate programmes in Nursing (Higher Diploma in Nursing, Higher Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing (Hons)).
We are now inviting applications for the following post in the Division of Nursing and Health Studies:
Teaching Assistant (Nursing)
Teaching Assistant (Nursing) (Ref: 16-TA-303- O)
The appointee will assist in the course planning, development, coordination and delivery, and where necessary, undertake classroom teaching, and clinical assessments and mentoring in related disciplines. He/she will also be expected to participate in School/University activities.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related discipline such as Life Sciences, Social Sciences and Health Technology/Informatics. Applicants being licensed by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong to practice as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse and has relevant teaching/professional experience in the areas of Adult and Child Nursing, Mental Health Nursing or other Clinical Nursing Specialties are preferable. A good command of English and Chinese is required.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits and gratuity, where applicable.
