The School of Science invites applications for the position of Teaching Associate in the subject areas of environmental conservation, food safety, pharmacology, toxicology and health. The successful candidate will primarily support and oversee program management of the MSc in Environmental Health and Safety Program (MSc EHS), but ability to contribute to undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching programs under Environmental Science Programs will also be taken into consideration.
The appointee will be required to undertake teaching duties in courses, tutorials, laboratory classes and practical training mainly for MSc EHS students; prepare teaching materials; provide consultation to students after class; and grade assignments and examinations. Experience in program administration of taught postgraduate programs will be a definite advantage.
Applicants should have a PhD degree in environmental biology, microbiology, food safety and health, or related areas with an outstanding teaching record in tertiary institution and excellent presentation skills. The appointee must be fluent in English and possesses proven ability to teach effectively in English. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
