Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field; (ii) at least 3 years’ hands-on experience in a helpdesk or desktop support position; (iii) familiarity with MS Windows 8/10 and MS Office operations; (iv) basic knowledge of IT and network equipment, printer, and audio-visual (AV) equipment operations; (v) hands-on experience with PC operations (applicants with certification, such as MCP, will be advantageous); (vi) passion and interest in end-to-end user support services; and (vii) a good command of both Chinese and English.
The appointee will work for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youth Project (CLAP for Youth @ JC)’ in the Faculty of Education, supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
Duties include (a) providing desktop and end user support for the Project Team with around 20-30 people; (b) providing hardware and software setup; (c) providing AV operation support for meetings or events; (d) assisting the Head of IT in administrative work; and (e) assisting in key aspects of the Project, including but not limited to publicity and dissemination events. Appointment will be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
