Department of Civil Engineering

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with relevant experience in teaching and research. A strong background in geotechnical engineering is required and experience in the following areas would be desirable: smart systems and smart infrastructure, energy geotechnics, resilience of ground infrastructure and underground space. The appointees for the above posts will be expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervise research students and projects. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
