Term Teaching Associate (Structured Whole Person Development (SWPD) Programme)

Major Duties:

(a) To perform teaching duties of the modules of SWPD Programme and generic skills subjects, including supervision of students’ project and field work;
(b) To design and organize student developmental programmes and career activities;
(c) To act as Module Co-ordinator of SWPD Programme;
(d) To provide support to the boards / committees / working groups, including drafting papers, reports and serving as secretary; and
(e) To carry out projects and research studies for the development of the SWPD Programme.

Requirements:
(a) A recognized degree in Social Science, Social Work, Liberal Studies, or relevant discipline, or professional qualifications, preferably with post-graduate qualification;
(b) Preferably with experience in teaching and developing the generic skills modules, leading student projects, organizing experiential learning programmes, adventure-based activities and training, student services or youth work;
(c) Good understanding of the New Senior Secondary Curriculum, Liberal Studies, outcome-based education, and other learning experience;
(d) A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; and
(e) Preferable to have the hands-on experience in research / statistical works for the post in Student Development Discipline Office.

Notes:
(1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.
(2) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
(3) The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus.
