Good Technology promotes Watson to top Asia role

HONG KONG: Good Technology has announced that Jim Watson will lead the company’s Asian expansion in the new role of vice-president for Asia, where he will focus on new and emerging markets.

The creation of the new role comes off the back of strong growth in Australia and New Zealand for Good Technology, under Watson’s stewardship, the company said.

Good Technology has also appointed Gavin Jones into a second newly-created role of vice-president and general manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Jones joins Good Technology following seven years with Salesforce.com, where he most recently held the role of regional director for financial services.

Prior to joining Saleforce.com, Jones held senior sales leadership roles with technology companies Oracle and Avaya.

Across Asia, Good Technology’s customers include the likes of Bangkok Bank, Bank of New Zealand, Bank of Queensland, Bupa, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, and the Australian Government Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities.
