NCR appoints Gary Tam as field services leader for HK

HONG KONG – In his new role, Gary Tam will be responsible for driving NCR Corporation’s services business growth in Hong Kong through next-generation productivity gains and consumer experiences. 

Tam, who will report to Greater China general manager of services Jimmy Zheng, has more than 20 years of regional IT experience in project management and strategic business management with key roles held in companies including EDS, Atos Origin and IBM.

Since joining NCR in 2008, Tam has demonstrated his outstanding business development and leadership skills through the various senior positions held in services sales and NCR’s retail line of business.

“I am pleased to have Tam to lead the Hong Kong services team to a new level. NCR has had a strong presence of our managed services offerings in the local financial industry, but we will continue to focus on quality, customer satisfaction and delivering next-in-class service that makes everyday easier for our existing and potential customers,” Zheng said.

Tam graduated from the University of British Columbia with a major in computer science.

NCR has around 211 service points and certified customer service engineers in more than 50 cities nationwide in China. It also has solid services teams in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
