Programme is fast track to success

AXA Hong Kong has just launched a fast-track programme for management trainees in order to develop up-and-coming executives and strengthen the company's talent pipeline.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a tailor-made assessment centre for a series of tests, group exercises and interviews. During the recruitment process, they will also have the chance to meet line managers and other senior members of the team to learn more about the company.

In due course, trainees can expect to move through a number of jobs and, during their initial 18 months, will have classroom training, on-the-job coaching and individual mentoring.

"Success in this fast-paced industry requires a variety of expertise, including marketing skills, insights into product development and sales management techniques," says Ellen So, AXA Hong Kong's head of human resources. "We are looking for team players who are passionate about developing a successful career in the financial services industry."

Candidates with a bachelor's degree and up to three years' work experience will have a head start. They should also be innovative, self-motivated, fast learners and be ready to think critically.

To help trainees get off on the right foot, the company will take note of their career aspirations and try to assign roles that suit their skills, personalities and areas of interest. On completing the programme, trainees will start as assistant managers, where they can gain relevant experience and build their expertise.
