I work as a marketer at a small but reasonably successful business. I like the company, the job and I am generally happy. I’ve just been offered a similar job at a large company with better pay and opportunities to progress further.

The job will also bring more responsibilities, travelling and, I suspect, might even be less stimulating. I am tempted to take up the offer but I am also worried that the job might make me very unhappy. Is it worth sacrificing happiness, at least in the short term, for long-term benefits?
