Studies show that the average office worker is interrupted every 11.2 minutes, and it takes up to 23 minutes to return focus back to the task at hand. Luckily, there are many ways to regain your focus and increase your productivity while working in a busy office…

In today’s globalising world, workplace diversity has become a much sought after characteristic for any company. Colleagues from across the globe can challenge our intellect……

For many people, the thought of attending a networking event strikes an immediate chord of terror. For others, the…

For many Hong Kong engineers who finished secondary school in the 1970s, choosing a career path was straightforward. Having picked the science stream in secondary school, aspiring youngsters who did not like their chemistry or biology as much as their maths and physics would choose engineering rather than the medical sciences in university. Ir Victor Cheung, however, did not have that choice. Growing up the son of a cook, he seemed destined for a life in a commercial kitchen too – until two mentors stepped in.

Internships with major companies are a powerful weapon in the race to find employment, writes Ben Kwok.

The traditional view is that career success requires early focus on a chosen area and linear progress …
