Assistant Officer (Ref. 260928001-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide operational and administrative support to different business processes pertaining to research postgraduate programmes including the admission and graduation matters and post-entry scholarships;

(b) provide support to student-related events and services;

(c) handle information flow and maintain an effective record and filing system;

(d) evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of various activities and propose enhancements to drive excellence and impact;

(e) establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;

(f) provide support in office management and daily operations of the School Office;

(g) take part in other projects and business processes when opportunities arise; and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree, plus not less than three years of post-qualification experience;

(b) have excellent problem-solving, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills;

(c) demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, responsibility and professionalism in managing multiple priorities;

(d) have a strong teamwork spirit and the ability to work independently;

(e) have proficiency in computer applications including MS Word and Excel; and

(f) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
