Role Mission
To grow private-sector pharmaceutical sales by developing strategic customer relationships, managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering effective sales and account-management strategies.
Role Summary
You will manage key accounts across private clinics, hospitals, medical groups, and other healthcare organizations.
You will build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers, including local Key Opinion Leaders, while implementing sales activities aligned with the company’s private-sector business strategy.
You will take ownership of territory performance, customer engagement, sales targets, business development, and account growth.
You will work independently while collaborating with internal teams to provide appropriate product information, marketing support, and technical assistance to customers.
Job Description
Manage key accounts within the specialty and primary-care segments.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local Key Opinion Leaders, private clinics, hospitals, medical groups, doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare stakeholders.
Plan, organize, and execute customer visits and sales activities in line with the company’s private-sector business strategy.
Promote the company’s pharmaceutical products to targeted healthcare professionals and business accounts.
Develop account plans and appropriate sales strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and customer coverage.
Conduct regular customer calls and visits according to agreed coverage frequency and sales objectives.
Maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying opportunities for product adoption, account expansion, and increased sales volume.
Identify new business opportunities and secure new or expanded business within the assigned territory.
Handle customer enquiries promptly and professionally, coordinating with internal departments when necessary.
Work closely with marketing, regulatory, medical, supply-chain, and customer-service teams to support smooth business operations.
Participate in product presentations, customer meetings, seminars, promotional activities, and relevant healthcare events.
Perform other sales and account-management duties as assigned by management.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of relevant sales or account-management experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical, or related industries.
Experience working with private clinics, hospitals, medical groups, GP practices, healthcare organizations, NGOs, HMOs, or similar healthcare sectors.
Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key-account clients in medical-group, clinic, and hospital channels.
Existing contacts with private-sector healthcare professionals, doctors, pharmacists, or medical decision-makers are an advantage.
Good understanding of private-sector healthcare sales, account management, customer engagement, and territory development.
Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese.
Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
