Key responsibilities:
System Development & Maintenance: Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including system design, architecture, coding, testing, and continuous maintenance of web-based applications.
Requirements Analysis: Assist in gathering end-user requirements and translating them into clear functional requirements, technical specifications, and system designs.
User Support & Implementation: Work closely with end-users to support system implementation, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), address bug fixes, handle deployment, conduct user training, and prepare comprehensive technical/user documentation.
Quality Assurance & Optimization: Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning to ensure software security, stability, and optimal responsiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with team members, project managers, and vendors to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.
Requirements:
Higher Diploma / University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
At least 2 years of relevant experience in Java programming
Hands-on experience in web-based system support, solution integration, and project administration.
Familiarity with IT project planning, requirements analysis, and stakeholder/account management.
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin).
Strong interpersonal skills, proactive work ethic, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Technical Skills (Preferred but not a must):
Practical knowledge of J2EE, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
Hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle DB (PL/SQL) and MS SQL Server.
Familiarity with modern DevOps and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) is a strong plus.
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin).
Strong interpersonal skills, proactive work ethic, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
