ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING MANAGER – electronic manufacturer EMS / ODM / OEM (Dongguan)

ROLE MISSION

• You will act as the technical expert for clients, translating their requirements into technically sound product designs. 

• The role will lead and mentor the electronics hardware engineering teams in developing products from concept to production.

• This position reports directly to the Engineering Director.

ROLE SUMMARY

• Drive innovation in product design to ensure ODM offerings remain competitive and aligned with global standards. 

• Oversee the full development lifecycle, including component selection, schematics, PCB layout, debugging, and testing. 

• The role will also work closely with Sales, Purchasing, QA, and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful product lifecycle management. 

• Solid experience in product design and development is essential for this position.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Act as the technical expert for clients, translating requirements into technically sound product designs.

• Lead and mentor the electronics hardware engineering teams in developing products from concept to production.

• Drive innovation in product design to ensure ODM offerings remain competitive and aligned with global standards.

• Oversee the full development lifecycle, including component selection, schematics, PCB layout, debugging, and testing.

• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, QA, and Manufacturing to ensure successful product lifecycle management.

• Participate in weekly conference calls with customers to discuss project progress, technical issues, and development plans.

• Provide technical advice and problem-solving support during product development and production stages.

• Review circuit designs, specifications, prototypes, test results, and technical documentation.

• Ensure products meet technical requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, and project schedules.

• Drive product improvement, cost reduction, and engineering efficiency.

• Support suppliers and contract manufacturers on technical matters when needed.

• Report project progress, technical issues, and development plans to the Engineering Director.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Degree holder in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in product design and development.

• Project management experience is highly preferred.

• Background in household appliances or industrial power control is an advantage.

• Strong technical background in circuit design, product testing, and new product introduction.

• Experience in managing engineering projects and leading a team.

• Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

• Proficient in English, Chinese, and Mandarin.

• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
