ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING MANAGER / HEAD OF ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING – ODM electronic product manufacturer

Role Mission

• Lead the electronics engineering team and drive electronic product development from concept to production.

• Act as the main technical contact for customers, turn product needs into practical solutions, and guide the team in delivering reliable and competitive products.

• This role reports directly to the Engineering Director.

Role Summary

• This is a senior role responsible for managing the full product development process for ODM projects.

• You will work closely with customers and internal teams, and lead the electronics hardware engineering team.

• The role requires strong technical knowledge, and experience in electronic product design and development, especially in home appliances or industrial power control products.

Job Description

• Lead the design and development of electronic products for ODM projects.

• Manage the full product development process from concept to mass production.

• Act as the technical expert for customers and provide practical engineering solutions.

• Handle component selection, schematics, circuit design, PCB layout, debugging, testing, validation, and product improvement.

• Review product specifications, prototypes, test results, and technical documents.

• Ensure products meet technical, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

• Work closely with the Mechanical Engineering Manager and Software Engineering Manager to support product development and project execution.

• Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, QA, Manufacturing, and other internal teams.

• Join regular customer conference calls to discuss project progress, technical issues, and development plans.

• Provide technical support and problem-solving during development and production.

• Improve product performance, reduce cost, and increase engineering efficiency.

• Support suppliers and contract manufacturers on technical matters when needed.

• Lead, coach, and support the electronics hardware engineering team.

• Report project progress, technical issues, and development plans to the Engineering Director.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience in electronic product design and development.

• Strong experience in product design, circuit design, product testing, and new product introduction.

• Experience in home appliances or industrial power control products is highly preferred.

• Project management experience is an advantage.

• Experience in managing engineering projects and leading a team.

• Good English, Chinese, and Mandarin.

• Good at PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word.

• Able to work independently and handle several projects under tight deadlines.
