Executive Assistant (Ref. 260910008-IE)

Duties

The appointee will provide secretarial support to the Head of the Department.  He/She will also be required to:

(a) handle information flow, coordinate and compile reports/statistics, manage and maintain an effective record and filing system;

(b) handle sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner;

(c) handle travel and reimbursement matters independently;

(d) provide administrative support to academic programmes/research matters;

(e) liaise effectively with the University’s internal and external stakeholders, and handle enquiries;

(f) assist the Executive Officer(s) in the daily operation of the Department’s general office; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree and some relevant work experience;

(b) have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;

(c) have good computer skills;

(d) have good communication, interpersonal, liaison and organisational skills;

(e) have a positive work attitude; and

(f) be a good team player.

Preference will be given to those with work experience in tertiary institutions or similar organisations.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a

fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
