Description

The appointee will provide support in a community-based longitudinal cohort study, including carrying out venipuncture procedures, assisting in participant recruitment and follow-up activities, and performing other duties as assigned.

  • Perform phlebotomy procedures on study subjects with precision and care, ensuring subject safety and specimen integrity.

  • Assist in conducting assessments for study participants.

  • Properly label, process, and store biological specimens according to study protocols.

  • Perform accurate data entry

  • Schedule participant follow-up visits

  • Successful candidates will be required to work at Hong Kong Science Park and travel to various community elderly centers around Hong Kong for participant recruitment and on-site data collection.

  • Must be willing to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including occasional early mornings or weekends, to align with participant availability at different outreach locations.


Qualifications

Applicants should have at least HKCEE 5 passes including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A or level 2 if results were obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese and Mathematics; OR 5 HKDSE subjects, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics attaining level 2 or above (or equivalent). He/She should be a registered phlebotomist or a holder of Fundamental Venipuncture Techniques for Phlebotomists Certificate, and possess at least two years’ working experience in phlebotomy. Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese) with good computer literacy (MS Office, English and Chinese word processing). The ideal candidate should be a good team player, meticulous at work, and with sound interpersonal and communication skills. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)
