Duties
The appointee will leverage data, technology, and stakeholder insights to support institutional branding, research and strategic initiatives. He/She will drive digital transformation, enhance stakeholder engagement, and deliver evidence-based insights to strengthen institutional reputation and operational excellence.
The appointee will be required to:
(a) oversee and improve the University’s digital platforms, databases, and information infrastructure to ensure data quality, security, and seamless access across departments;
(b) collect and analyse complex institutional data to build interactive dashboards, benchmarking reports, and predictive models (using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, and Excel) to guide strategic planning and reputation management;
(c) drive digital transformation initiatives through the application of data analytics, data-driven automation, AI-enabled solutions, and the development of digital platforms (e.g. Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Forms, Generative AI tools, CRM systems, website/content management platforms and databases);
(d) analyse website traffic, social media engagement, and audience trends to optimise marketing campaigns and enhance the University’s global visibility; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.
Qualification
Applicants should possess:
(a) a recognised degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline;
(b) at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience at supervisory level in data analytics, business intelligence, digital solutions, information management, communications, project management or related fields, preferably gained in tertiary institutions, public sector organisations or sizeable corporations;
(c) knowledge of database management, data governance, CRM systems, benchmarking, dashboard development, website/content management systems and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions;
(d) proficiency in analytical and digital tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Microsoft Power Platform and Generative AI applications;
(e) experience in digital transformation, process improvement, system implementation, automation initiatives or project management;
(f) an understanding of branding, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, strategic communications and data-driven marketing practices;
(g) strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technology and data solutions; and
(h) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
