ROLE MISSION
To create compelling, brand‑consistent packaging and visual assets that enhance the shelf impact and consumer appeal of our toy products, while meeting safety, legal and production requirements for global markets.
ROLE SUMMARY
You will be responsible for the full packaging design process – from concept and structural development to final print‑ready artwork.
You will work on colour boxes, window boxes, blister cards and display structures for a wide range of toy lines, and support e‑commerce and marketing visuals.
You will collaborate closely with Product Designers, Merchandisers and overseas Brand and Project Management teams to translate product ideas into attractive, production‑ready packaging.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Design brand‑consistent packaging for toys, including colour boxes, window boxes, blister cards and counter/display structures.
Create and adjust accurate packaging die‑lines and structural concepts; develop innovative, child‑friendly packaging features.
Design custom logos, character graphics, decorative elements and labels to support product stories and brand identity.
Produce clear, user‑friendly and safety‑compliant instruction manuals and leaflets.
Prepare print‑ready final artwork with careful attention to colour management, bleeds, trapping and colour separation for different printing processes.
Review colour proofs and conduct final quality checks on packaging materials before mass production.
Work with cross‑functional teams to adapt global entertainment property style guides and licensing requirements into attractive, on‑brand packaging.
Execute basic product photography, photo retouching and simple 3D renderings to support packaging and marketing needs.
Generate visual assets for e‑commerce listings, web banners and social media when required.
Report to the Design Manager and collaborate within a design team of around 10 members.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Tertiary education in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ graphic design experience, with direct experience in toys, entertainment products or fast‑moving consumer goods highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Strong understanding of CMYK colour, typography, paper choices and complex structural packaging.
Experience in toy packaging is essential; experience with toy vehicles or model cars is an advantage.
Working knowledge of 3D rendering software (e.g. KeyShot, Rhino, Blender) is a strong plus.
Able to design with a child’s imagination in mind while maintaining strong commercial appeal for parents and retailers.
Strong communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage.
Please provide a professional portfolio showing strong composition, typography, illustration (hand‑drawn or digital) and executed structural packaging projects.
