The appointee will join the math cognition research team led by Dr. Olivia OUYANG (https://www.ln.edu.hk/psy/about-us/people/academic-staff/professor-ouyang-xiangzi) and will be involved in a research project focusing on young children’s math development.  The appointee will play a central role in coordinating project activities, liaising with kindergartens and schools, and ensuring the smooth delivery of school-based data collection.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with participating kindergartens and schools on arrangements for data collection

• Organise and conduct data collection in school settings, including coordinating student interns during data-collection activities

• Assist with the management of research materials, participant records, and project documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality

• Assist with research-related work, including data management, data checking, processing and analysis

• Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator

Requirements

• A completed bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related discipline. Applicants who are currently enrolled in, or have completed, a master’s degree are welcome to apply

• Basic knowledge of educational or psychological research; experience in research data processing or analysis is an advantage

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate a team during project activities

• Prior work experience is preferred.  Experience working in or with schools or kindergartens, and/or experience working with children, is particularly advantageous

• Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese

• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Salary and Benefits
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The appointment will be made on a fixed-term part-time contract for a period not exceeding 12 months.
