Our business covers the sales, rental, repair, maintenance, technical support, and assembly of diesel generator sets and related power systems. This enables us to provide comprehensive and dependable power solutions tailored to different customer and project requirements.
Our Yuen Long workshop serves as a dedicated assembly and testing facility for tailor-made diesel generator sets. The workshop is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and preparing generator sets for delivery, supported by in-house technical expertise.
The workshop plays an important role in maintaining product quality, improving production efficiency, ensuring timely delivery, and providing flexible support for customer-specific requirements.
Role Mission
Lead and manage the workshop’s production and assembly operations to ensure tailor-made diesel generator sets are completed efficiently, safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the required quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement in production planning, workflow management, safety, quality control, resource utilisation, and team performance.
Through strong operational discipline and cross-functional coordination, you will support the delivery of reliable and high-quality power solutions to customers.
Role Summary
Oversee the full production and assembly process for tailor-made diesel generator sets and related power systems in the Yuen Long workshop.
Report to the Chief Operating Officer and lead a team of approximately 30 employees.
Manage production planning, workflow, manpower allocation, material availability, testing, quality control, and final preparation for delivery.
Work closely with Engineering, Project, Sales, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth execution from production planning to final delivery.
Take responsibility for production efficiency, product quality, delivery performance, workplace safety, and team development.
Experience in diesel generator sets, power-generation equipment, or related power solutions would be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end workshop production and assembly operations for diesel generator sets, including engines, alternators, control panels, enclosures, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and related power components.
Review production plans, project requirements, technical drawings, specifications, and delivery schedules to ensure production activities are properly coordinated.
Ensure generator sets are assembled and completed on time, within budget, and according to customer, project, and quality requirements.
Monitor daily production progress, manpower deployment, material availability, work-in-progress, and completion status.
Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, tools, and workshop capacity according to production priorities and project schedules.
Improve workshop layouts, assembly processes, work instructions, production methods, and workflow efficiency.
Drive initiatives to reduce production waste, rework, downtime, material loss, and unnecessary operating costs.
Improve production throughput, resource utilisation, labour productivity, and overall workshop efficiency.
Lead, supervise, motivate, and develop a team of approximately 30 workshop employees.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures covering assembly, wiring, component installation, testing, inspection, documentation, and final product release.
Ensure completed generator sets undergo the required testing, inspection, commissioning checks, and final quality verification before shipment or delivery.
Investigate production defects, quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformities, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure production activities comply with internal quality standards, ISO requirements, technical specifications, and relevant industry regulations.
Ensure a safe working environment and full compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental, fire-safety, and operational requirements.
Support the introduction of new products, customised generator configurations, production methods, and technical improvements.
Perform other production, workshop-management, and operational duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
Ideal Candidate
Tertiary education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline.
More than 5 years of experience in production management, workshop management, factory operations, engineering operations, or a similar supervisory or leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of assembly processes, production planning, workflow control, testing procedures, quality inspection, and final product release.
Experience in diesel generator sets, power-generation equipment, electrical systems, engines, industrial machinery, or related power solutions would be a strong advantage.
Familiarity with quality management systems, including ISO 9001, internal quality procedures, corrective actions, and audit requirements.
Able to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, assembly requirements, testing procedures, and project documentation.
Practical, hands-on, and capable of solving production and operational problems effectively.
Strong leadership, communication, planning, decision-making, and people-management skills.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines without compromising safety or quality.
Proficient in English and Cantonese or Mandarin.
