Main Job Responsibilities :

  1. Collect, analyse, and report quantitative/qualitative findings from all Academy programmes to evaluate the impact of programmes with actionable recommendatios for improvement.

  2. Conduct research and compile research papers, statistical reports that could shed light on future development in gifted education.

  3. Update and maintain the administrative, student members, and alumni database and records with accuracy, efficiency, and integrity.

  4. Administer, monitor and maintain the nomination scheme for admitting gifted students to the Academy.

  5. Plan, design, and implement learning programmes and activities to cater for their affective needs and support their whole-person development.

  6. Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the research team and the division.

  7. Provide direct coaching and advice to students, monitor service providers' programme delivery and conduct class observations, and offer off-campus support. Chaperone students for study tours, events and competitions to the mainland or overseas.

  8. Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of organisational events, including ceremonies, exhibitions, and other academy-wide initiatives.

  9. Ensure compliance with organisational guidelines, policies and ethical standards in all practices, services, and provisions.

  10. Perform any other duties and assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • Holder of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, or equivalent; preferrably in statistics, mathematics, social sciences, data sciences, or computer sciences.

  • At least four years of work experience in research, training/ teaching, school administration and/or project management, preferably in an educational environment; a higher research degree (e.g., M.Phil.) is an advantage.

  • Familiar with latest artificial intelligence technology, such as AI model deployment, prompt and harness engineering, agentic AI, etc., with demonstrated experience in applying AI to educational contexts (e.g., personalised learning analysis, adaptive assessment, learning analytics, or digital pedagogy).

  • Familiar with digital education technologies (EdTech) and platforms, and an understanding of ethical considerations and data privacy protocols related to AI implementation in educational settings.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), statistical and data analysis software applications (such R, SAS, SPSS), Power BI, programming languages (such as Python and VBA), and database management software (such as MySQL).

  • Possess excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English (written and spoken); proficient in Putonghua is preferred.

  • Should demonstrate strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

  • Possess a positive, “can-do” attitude, a strong sense of responsibility, the flexibility to adapt to changing service delivery needs, and an aptitude for effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.

  • Willing to travel occasionally to the mainland and overseas.

  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Programme Officer.

 Terms of Appointment:

The successful candidates will be offered an initial term of two years. Re- appointment will be subject to mutual agreement and good performance. The Academy offers a competitive salary for good candidates. Fringe benefits will be offered according to the job grade of prevailing policy.
