Position Overview

  • A fashion brand owner is seeking a high‑calibre Senior Fashion Buyer to join its Hong Kong buying team (6 members).

  • A clothing brand company and retailer is inviting experienced clothing purchasing specialists to join its Hong Kong purchasing team (6 members in total).

  • The brand focuses on casual wear and sportswear for lifestyle and mass‑market consumers, and this role is ideal for a commercially sharp, trend‑savvy buyer who can turn market insight and data into winning assortments across a network of around 15–20 stores in Hong Kong and Macau.

  • The brand focuses on developing casual and sportswear, targeting lifestyle and mass-market consumers. This position is particularly suitable for buyers with a strong business sense and fashion sense, who can use market information and data to create a competitive product portfolio covering approximately 15–20 branches in Hong Kong and Macau.

  • This position reports directly to the Buying Manager and plays a pivotal role in shaping the brand's fashion direction in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product buying for Hong Kong & Macau, ensuring a compelling, on‑brand casual and sportswear assortment by store, channel and season.

  • Leading product sourcing in Hong Kong and Macau, creating an attractive portfolio of casual and sportswear products that aligns with the brand image, based on branch locations, channels, and seasons.

  • Manage ordering and inventory at store level to balance availability, stock turns and margin.

  • Manage ordering and inventory at the branch level to balance product supply, turnover rate, and gross profit performance.

  • Review and track sales performance through timely and accurate weekly and monthly sales reports and analysis, proposing concrete actions on replenishment, markdowns and promotions.

  • Through accurate and timely weekly/monthly sales reports and analysis, we review and follow up on sales performance and provide specific action recommendations on replenishment, price reductions and promotions.

  • Handle day‑to‑day merchandise issues, including defectives, wrong shipments and stock discrepancies, ensuring smooth retail operations.

  • Handle routine merchandise matters, including damaged goods, incorrect shipments, and inventory discrepancies, to ensure smooth retail operations.

  • Formulate pricing strategies based on competitive and market analysis to support both sales growth and profitability.

  • Define buying guides and assortment strategies to achieve seasonal targets, covering style, color, size and channel mix.

  • Partner closely with Operations, Marketing, Logistics and VM to monitor implementation quality, promotion effectiveness and sell‑through, and to optimize in‑store presentation.

Ideal Candidates

  • Degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant experience in retail buying/merchandising, ideally in fashion, sportswear or lifestyle brands.

  • University graduate with at least 3 years of experience in retail purchasing/product planning, experience with fashion, sportswear or lifestyle brands is preferred.

  • Strong fashion and product sensibility, with a solid understanding of the competitive retail landscape in casual and sportswear.

  • Possesses a keen sense of fashion and product quality, and has a deep understanding of the competitive landscape of the casual and sportswear retail market.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with confidence in using data to drive buying and pricing decisions.

  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Terms and Benefits
