SENIOR MERCHANDISER - small home appliance / domestic electrical appliance - Europe trading & sourcing office (Mongkok/5 days work)

• We are a European trading company with more than 50 years’ experience in consumer electronics and small home appliances. 

• Our Hong Kong office is the Asia Pacific hub, handling sourcing and supplier management for customers in Europe and other global markets.

ROLE MISSION

• To source and develop small electrical home appliances for European clients, from finding new factories and products to managing the whole order process until shipment.

ROLE SUMMARY

• Team: Merchandising team of 5

• Reports to: Merchandising Manager

• Key focus: Source and develop small electrical home appliances for European clients; manage the full order cycle from product development and supplier selection to final shipment, in close coordination with QA, QC, compliance and logistics teams, and with overseas buying/sales colleagues in Germany.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Source and develop small electrical home appliances (e.g. kitchen appliances, personal care, household gadgets) for European customers.

• Find and evaluate new factories and new products; prepare detailed tenders, product comparisons and costings.

• Follow up orders from product development to final shipment, working closely with QA, QC, compliance (CR) and logistics teams.

• Liaise daily with suppliers and manufacturers in China and with buying/sales teams in Germany.

• Travel to trade fairs and factories in China to develop and strengthen the supplier base.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Diploma holder or above is preferable.

• At least 5 years’ experience in small electrical home appliances, ideally in a sourcing or trading office.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and factory operations for small electrical products.

• Familiar with European market requirements, safety standards and product certifications (e.g. CE, GS, RoHS, etc.).

• Proficient in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
