We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in Office for Advancement of Learning and Teaching (ALTO):
Senior Multimedia Technology Manager (ALTO) (Ref: 26001X6)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Taking the lead to implement new initiatives by applying the latest technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning and teaching;
Overseeing the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of AI Systems;
Evaluating software development lifecycle processes, workflows, standards, and quality-assurance practices;
Designing system architectures, configuring and managing servers and cloud infrastructure;
Managing the procurement and tendering of IT hardware, software, and cloud services;
Supervising Managers and Systems Analysts, and monitoring their assigned tasks;
Conducting in-house training and assisting in the provision of professional development for University staff;
Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Office for Advancement of Learning and Teaching and his/her nominees.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
A recognized bachelor's degree in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
At least 10 years' relevant post-qualification experience in IT project management and application development, preferably in higher education institutions;
In-depth knowledge of modern web technologies, including Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Vue.js/React, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), LMS platforms, and AI applications;
Strong expertise in driving AI applications and integration strategy, with practical experience in leveraging LLMs, Machine Learning technologies, and modern AI frameworks to solve academic/institutional problems.
Strong leadership in vendor management, budget planning, IT governance, and system integration across cross-functional teams;
Strong project management skills, communication skills, supervisory skills, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate academic/institutional requirements into technical solutions.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, a composite cash/housing allowance, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
