SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - ODM electronic product manufacturer

ROLE MISSION :

• Lead the product development function and drive the development of electronic products from concept through to mass production.

• Act as the key technical partner to customers, translating product requirements into practical and manufacturable solutions, while guiding the engineering team to deliver reliable, competitive, and market-ready products.

• This role reports directly to the Engineering Director.

ROLE SUMMARY : 

• This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing end-to-end product development for ODM projects. You will oversee the full development cycle, coordinate closely with customers and internal teams, and provide technical leadership to the electronics hardware engineering team.

• The role requires strong technical capability, project coordination skills, and experience in electronic product design and development, particularly in home appliances or industrial power control applications.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Lead the design and development of electronic products for ODM projects.

• Oversee the full product development cycle from concept to mass production.

• Act as the technical expert for customers and translate product requirements into sound engineering solutions.

• Manage component selection, schematics, circuit design, PCB layout, debugging, testing, validation, and product improvement.

• Review product specifications, prototypes, test results, and technical documentation.

• Ensure products meet technical requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Purchasing, QA, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to support successful product development and lifecycle management.

• Participate in regular conference calls with customers to review project progress, technical issues, and development plans.

• Provide technical advice and problem-solving support during both product development and production stages.

• Drive product improvement, cost reduction, and engineering efficiency.

• Support suppliers and contract manufacturers on technical matters when required.

• Lead, coach, and mentor the electronics hardware engineering team.

• Report project progress, technical issues, and development plans to the Engineering Director.

IDEAL CANDIDATE :

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience in electronic product design and development.

• Strong background in product design, circuit design, product testing, and new product introduction.

• Experience in home appliances or industrial power control applications is highly preferred.

• Project management experience is a strong advantage.

• Proven experience in managing engineering projects and leading a team.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

• Good command of English, Chinese, and Mandarin.

• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
