ROLE MISSION 角色使命

• Lead the product research and development function at the Dongguan R&D Centre to drive innovation, new product creation and continuous improvement across the company's toy product portfolio

• Partner with customers, design teams and production to deliver creative, safe and commercially viable toy products that meet global safety standards and customer expectations

• Build and mentor a high-performing R&D team that fosters creativity, technical excellence and speed-to-market

ROLE SUMMARY 角色概要

• Oversee the entire product R&D process at the Dongguan R&D Centre from concept generation, design development, prototyping, testing to production handover

• 在東莞研發中心監督整個產品研發流程，從概念生成、設計開發、原型製作、測試到生產交接

• Lead a team of designers, engineers and developers at the Dongguan R&D Centre to deliver innovative toy products for major international brands

• 領導東莞研發中心的設計師、工程師和開發團隊，為主要國際品牌交付創新的玩具產品

• Collaborate closely with sales, merchandising, production and quality teams to ensure products meet customer requirements, safety standards and cost targets

• 與銷售、營業、生產和質量團隊緊密合作，確保產品符合客戶要求、安全標準和成本目標

• Work based in Dongguan R&D Centre with occasional trips to Hong Kong and Vietnam as needed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 主要職責

• Lead and manage the product R&D team at the Dongguan R&D Centre, including designers, engineers, developers and technicians

• 領導和管理東莞研發中心的產品研發團隊，包括設計師、工程師、開發人員和技術員

• Drive new product development from concept to commercialisation, including market research, concept design, 3D modelling, prototyping, testing and production validation

• Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to understand customer needs, market trends and product requirements

• Work with design teams to create innovative toy concepts that align with brand positioning, safety standards and cost targets

• Oversee prototyping, sample making and product testing to ensure design feasibility, functionality and compliance with international safety standards

• Coordinate with production teams in Vietnam to ensure smooth handover from R&D to mass production, including tooling, process optimisation and quality control

• Monitor and control R&D budgets, timelines and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

• Stay updated on the latest toy industry trends, technologies, materials and manufacturing processes to drive innovation and competitiveness

• Ensure all products comply with customer requirements, international safety regulations and internal quality standards

• Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and partners to foster collaboration and mutual growth

• Prepare and present product roadmaps, development plans and progress reports to senior management

IDEAL CANDIDATE 理想人選

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, Toys Design or related discipline

• 工業設計、產品設計、工程、玩具設計或相關學科學士學位或以上

• 10+ years of product R&D experience in the toys industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role

• 10年以上玩具行業產品研發經驗，其中至少5年擔任高級管理或領導職位

• Proven track record of successfully launching innovative toy products for major international brands in the US, Europe, UK, Japan or Canada

• 具備為美國、歐洲、英國、日本或加拿大的主要國際品牌成功推出創新玩具產品的良好記錄

• Strong knowledge of toy design, engineering, materials, manufacturing processes and international safety standards 

• 熟悉玩具設計、工程、材料、製造工藝和國際安全標準

• Creative, innovative and commercially minded with strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• 具創造力、創新思維和商業觸覺，具備強大的解決問題和分析能力

• Willing to work based in Dongguan R&D Centre with occasional trips to Hong Kong and Vietnam

• 願意在東莞研發中心工作，偶爾前往香港和越南

• Report directly to General Manager
