Responsibilities
Work on research projects involving quantitative data analysis, utilizing survey data and / or big data to investigate topics in health research, social change, and social inequality
Responsible for data analysis and related research tasks, such as literature search and review
Requirements
A master’s degree in social or behavioral sciences (e.g., sociology, economics, public health, political science, or social work)
Demonstrate proficiency in statistical programming languages such as Stata, Mplus, or R
Demonstrate a grasp of computational methods, including experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or other AI-based approaches in social science research
Exhibit the capacity to work independently
Demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken English
Preference will be given to individuals with expertise in health research or social inequality, and those with experience working with large-scale datasets, panel data, or big data analytics.
Salary and Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, and mandatory provident fund. The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
