ROLE MISSION

  • Lead the Software Engineering team to develop reliable, high-quality electronic products.

  • Act as the main software and firmware technical expert for customers.

  • Turn customer requirements into practical and technically sound software solutions.

  • Improve software quality, product stability, and development efficiency.

  • Manage the software development and release process from concept to production.

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Software Engineering team.

  • Provide technical support and advice to international customers.

  • Oversee software and firmware development for electronic products throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Manage software roadmaps, technical scope, project schedules, and issue tracking.

  • Drive continuous improvement in software quality, reliability, and development processes.

  • Work closely with Electronics, Mechanical, Sales, Purchasing, QA, and Manufacturing teams.

  • Participate in weekly conference calls with customers.

  • Report to the Engineering Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Software Engineering team.

  • Manage software and firmware development projects for electronic products from concept to mass production.

  • Review customer requirements and translate them into clear software specifications.

  • Provide technical guidance on software architecture, development, and product integration.

  • Plan and manage software roadmaps, technical scope, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Oversee the complete software release lifecycle. Coordinate design, development, testing, debugging, and release activities.

  • Establish effective issue-tracking processes and ensure timely resolution of technical problems. Drive improvements in software quality and stability.

  • Work closely with Electronics, Hardware, Mechanical, Sales, Purchasing, QA, and Manufacturing teams. Support product validation, testing, and production activities.

  • Communicate with customers regarding technical requirements, project status, and software issues. Lead regular technical meetings.

  • Ensure deliverables meet requirements and timelines. Prepare regular project and team reports for the Engineering Director.

  • Promote best practices in software development, documentation, testing, and release management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in software or firmware development for electronic products.

  • Preferably 2+ years of experience managing or leading a software engineering team.

  • Solid experience in product design, development, and software project management.

  • Experience with embedded products or electronic devices is essential.

  • Experience with software release management, issue tracking, debugging, and product testing.

  • Experience in an EMS, ODM, or OEM manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

  • Experience with household appliances, industrial power control products, or related electronic products is a must.

  • Strong understanding of software quality and development processes.

  • Good experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • Good communications in written and spoken English and Chinese.
