The Department of Economics is seeking a self-motivated and capable individual to candidate to support its MSc in Economics program.


Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide administrative and operational support for the MScECON program, including course administration, program admissions, and student-related matters

  • Assist with the planning and execution of program events, such as orientations and student enrichment activities

  • Support alumni engagement initiatives, including event coordination and maintenance of alumni records

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Applicants should have a bachelor's degree. While relevant administrative or operations experience is an advantage, fresh graduates will be considered.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork skills, a proactive attitude, adaptability to change, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A strong sense of urgency, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, along with competence in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), is required.

Working outside normal office hours and on occasional weekends may be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
