(1) Assistant Accountant (Treasury Section) (Ref. 22051915-IE) and (2) Accounting Assistant (Treasury Section) (Ref. 22051916-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) issue tuition fee and miscellaneous fee debit notes;

(b) process settlement of student debit notes from various collection channels and maintain rejected records for follow-up;

(c) reconcile daily transfer and monthly bank account balance;

(d) handle debit note cancellation, caution money conversion and confiscation;

(e) distribute graduation fee between UGC and self-financed programmes;

(f) monitor payment process for scholarship, student fee refund in Student Account System (SAS) and Oracle Financials;

(g) assist in Non-means-tested Loan (NLS) arrangement;

(h) handle enquiries from units, students, applicants and graduates;

(i) support SAS enhancement and user acceptance test; and

(j) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or her delegates.

Qualifications
 
Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree or diploma in Accountancy, Finance or related disciplines;

(b) some relevant work experience in accounting, auditing and/or other related areas;

(c) good computer literacy especially in using Microsoft Office and accounting software;

(d) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; and

(e) good communication and interpersonal skills.

Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Accounting Assistant.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
