Accountant (Ref. 20031805-IE) 


The appointee will be responsible for the following duties: 

(a) performing staff cost related analysis and projection for the management and funding bodies; 

(b) assisting in the review of compensation and benefits administration; 

(c) participating in the development and implementation of the “Enterprise System for Human Resources, Compensation and Benefit Administration, and Related Resources Planning and Management” and the related payment systems; 

(d) supervising the daily operations for payroll and benefits, staff claims and the related payments of the University and its subsidiaries; 

(e) supervising a team of staff; 

(f) performing general office administration; and 

(g) performing any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or her delegates.



Applicants should have: 

(a) a recognised degree in Accounting or related disciplines; 

(b) a professional accounting qualification or equivalent; 

(c) at least five years of post-qualification experience in accounting, auditing or other related fields, including at least two years of supervisory experience; 

(d) proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Access, Excel, Word and Powerpoint, with working knowledge of Oracle Financials being an advantage;

(e) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and 

(f) strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test. 


Remuneration and Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
