Responsibilities:

  • Perform actuarial calculations to assist in monitoring solvency of financial and marketing programs and analyse, draw and document recommendations to assist in making sound business decisions.
  • Perform actuarial investigations, analysis and costing for senior management.
  • Draft reports on results of investigations.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to staff and clients.
  • Produce underwriting and profitability statistics of business units for Actuarial, Finance and Underwriting that provide accurate management information.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues, to maximize influence and achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct regular reviews or pricing, valuation and reporting techniques.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary graduate in Actuarial or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 to 3 years' relevant actuarial experiences, preferably in the general insurance industry.
  • Ability to analyse data and use for decision making.
  • Experience in using risk profiling, pricing tools and loss models.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and research skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to work independently.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior exposure to SQL and SAS is an advantage.
