Applications are invited for appointment as Administrative Assistant I/II (AAI/II) in the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a good university degree, with at least 5-8 years’ relevant hands-on managerial experience at supervisory level in business development and communication in the higher education sector or a related field. They should also be an entrepreneurial self-starter with an excellent command of written and spoken English (with an overall band score of 7.5 or above in IELTS; or equivalent) and Chinese; strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines, as well as an appropriate level of IT skills. Knowledge of Putonghua would be an advantage. They should also be a good team player with the ability to multi-task and be attentive to details. Those with less experience may be appointed at the level of AAII. The appointee will provide a high level of administrative and secretarial support to strategic development initiatives, including preparation of presentation materials, meeting papers, reports and proposals, conducting research, developing management strategies and tactics, as well as devising and delivering operational plans.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for AAI, and 10% of basic salary for AAII.
