Administrative Assistant II in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref: 498696) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

To cope with its strategic development and expansion, the Faculty of Business and Economics (HKU Business School) is now seeking high caliber candidates to support its taught postgraduate programmes.

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a Masters degree in business-related disciplines, plus around 12 years work experience, out of which at least 5 years' management/marketing/public relations/executive training experience in the tertiary or business sector. Prior work experience in higher education sector in business will be an advantage. They should have a solid command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese), sound interpersonal and communication skills, and be strong team builders and outcomes-driven leaders with good connection with the professional community and industry. They should also possess strategic thinking, innovative and effective organization skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver expected quality outputs under tight deadlines; know the business environment of mainland China well; have rich experience in interacting with entrepreneurs, corporate executives as well as other business leaders; master a high-level of design and computer proficiency in service of branding, marketing and promotion; and familiar with the respective marketing practices and promotion channels in mainland China as well as Hong Kong.

The appointee will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing and promotion initiatives for the Facultys HKU-PKU EMBA programmes, actively build up its branding and reputation as HKU Business School, and to further its external outreach via scholarly undertakings, including but not limited to academic programmes, research and knowledge exchange. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours/during weekends and travel outside Hong Kong.
