Malvern College Hong Kong is the newest member of the Malvern College Family of Schools that are now operating in the UK, Mainland China, Egypt, and Hong Kong, with future locations being considered in other parts of Asia.

Malvern College Hong Kong located adjacent to the Hong Kong Science Park, strives to be a leading International School in HK which inherits the fine ethos from Malvern College, UK. The school is in its construction phase and scheduled to open September 2018 and ultimately provide 960 places for both primary and secondary students. We will seek International Baccalaureate authorization to deliver a full IB curriculum, targeting students from a range of cultural and educational backgrounds.

The Role

The role will provide operational support to the School’s administrative functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality hospitality and customer service to parents, guests and pupils;
  • Perform general reception duties, include handling incoming phone calls and mail, greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner;
  • Coordinate the dispatch and distribution of local and overseas parcels and documents;
  • Keep track of pupil daily attendance;
  • Handle and update pupil database records;
  • Support school activities and events such as Open Day, Parents’ Day, staff functions, etc.;
  • Coordinate with contractors for office facilities maintenance service;
  • Assist in handling other administrative matters and office routines;
  • Adhere to and promote Malvern College’s Mission, Vision and Values;
  • Undertake other duties pertinent to the scope of the position, as required by the Senior Administrative Officer. 

Requirements

  • Diploma in administration or above;
  • Excellent command of English (ideally native English) and Chinese;
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience;
  • Friendly, approachable and polite;
  • Good telephone manner, communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with people from different backgrounds;
  • Self-motivated, detail-minded with a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Positive attitude;
  • Willing to learn new skills as required;
  • Collaborative and willing to work as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel and the ability to quickly understand sophisticated software.
