HKIA is a professional body for the architects in Hong Kong, the running of which is governed by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Incorporation Ordinance (Chapter 1147). HKIA is mandated to promote the architectural excellence and to raise the standard of professional architectural services provided by members. HKIA Secretariat is currently composed of around 34 staff in Hong Kong and 2 in Beijing.

The Architects Registration Ordinance (Chapter 408) is an Ordinance to provide for the registration of architects and disciplinary control of the professional activities of registered architects, and for related matters. The Architects Registration Board is a body corporate established under the Ordinance consisting ten members appointed by the HKIA Council and one member appointed by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing secretarial support to Board and Committee meetings in lunch/evening;
  • Drafting of emails, minutes and papers of meeting, circulars, correspondence etc.;
  • Event organization including seminars, workshops, and other ad hoc projects;
  • Maintenance of database and update of website;
  • Liaison with members, government and other external parties.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree from a recognized university with good command of English and Chinese;
  • Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, detailed minded, team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, and able to work in a fast-paced working environment independently;
  • Proficient in MS Office and Chinese Word processing;
  • Experience in secretarial support to Board or Committee work and, event management a definite advantage.
