Art Director, Custom Publishing (Ref: COJY-AMS-AD)

Responsiblities & Requirements:

  • Formulate basic layout design for both print and digital products where necessary;
  • Review and approve art materials, copy materials, and proofs of printed copy;
  • Manage projects and budgets;
  • Review illustrative material to determine if it conforms to standards and specifications.
  • Initiate ideas for illustrations and photo sessions;
  • Attend photo shoots and printing sessions ensure quality;
  • Provide sourcing and liaison with outside suppliers, including photographers, illustrators, and whenever necessary, creative freelancers.


  • Designer degree or equivalent qualifications;
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience with a reputable publishing company; experience in advertising agency can be considered;
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, QuarkXpress, PowerPoint and other common design software;
  • HTML, PHP and other Web experience a big plus;
  • Ability to think out of the box;
  • Resourceful, ideas driven and willing to push the boundaries;
  • Strong knowledge of the entire production process of magazines or other publications.

Work location will be at Tai Po office.
