Assistant Administrative Officer

Department of Economics

The appointee will work with other administrative staff in the Programme Office to provide administrative and operational support to the taught postgraduate programmes of the Department, namely Master of Science in International and Development Economics (MIDE) Programme (www.LN.edu.hk/cerp/mide/en/) and the Master of Science in International Banking and Finance (MIBF) Programme (www.LN.edu.hk/econ/mibf). The appointee’s major duties will include some of the following: (a) providing operational support for lectures, seminars, and other teaching activities; (b) providing administrative support for relevant committee meetings; (c) maintaining the general administration and records of the Programme Office; and (d) performing any tasks as assigned by the supervisors.

 

Requirements

Applicants should have (i) post-secondary qualification; (ii) at least two years’ work experience, preferably in self-financing higher education sector; (iii) good written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua a must); (iv) high competency in MS office applications; (v) a great sense of responsibility; (vi) strong desire to learn and improve; and (vii) good team spirit to work with colleagues with different backgrounds and styles.

 

Salary and Benefits

Commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
