Pay
HK$26,289 to HK$48,013 per month (including Monthly Allowance)
Job
The appointee will assist the Senior Manager (Building Works) and Managers (Building Works) in the project management of minor works projects and provide technical advisory support. The appointee will be responsible for the following main duties:
1. Assist a team of professional staff and technical staff in supervising and monitoring the performance of consultants and contractors.
2. Assist a team of professional staff and technical staff in facilities and project management.
3. Assist in the operation of the Computerized Order Processing and Project Execution (COPPE) system for minor works projects.
4. Liaise with IT team and cluster/hospitals on issues related to COPPE system and/or other information technology system development.
5. Assist in conducting site and safety inspections to works projects.
6. Assist in conducting quality audits on payments certified by consultants.
7. Provide technical support to Capital Planning Department.
8. Perform other related duties as required and assigned by supervisor(s).
Requirements
1. A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Building Studies from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education; or equivalent.
2. (a) Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE OR
(b) Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSE, or equivalent.
3. At least 3 years of relevant experience such as building services installation works and/or building projects after attaining the required academic qualification.
4. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).
Preferred Attributes/Exposure
1. Registered electrical worker, class B, as registered in the list of EMSD.
2. Formal training in occupational safety and health.
3. Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
4. Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently.
5. Outgoing and able to work under pressure and stressful situation.
6. Proficiency in computer application (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, AutoCAD and other MS Office applications, etc.)
7. Practical experience in public works projects.

Remarks
1. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.
2. Selected candidates may be required to work in shifts and/or irregular hours in different offices and/or project sites, depending on services / operational needs.
3. Appointment will be on contract terms for a period of 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance.
4. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
