Communications Office 

The appointee will provide support for the execution of media communications strategies of the University in line with its strategic goals and objectives. He/she will assist in enhancing the University’s reputation and visibility through proactive media communications, which may involve story pitching, lining up of press interviews and issues/crisis management; maintaining good rapport with the local media; and organising activities or events to engage stakeholders and promote the University’s image. The appointment will be for a period of 3 years with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.   

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least eight years of experience in the mass media, public relations, communications and related fields. They should be a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility and self-initiative. They should also have a sharp political acumen and a good command of both written English and Chinese. Working outside normal office hours may be required if necessary. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.  

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.  Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
