Assistant Computer Officer (Web Development) (Ref. 1600028X) (closing date: November 29, 2016)
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; (ii) at least 1 year’s web application development work experience (fresh graduates are also welcome to apply); (iii) knowledge of object-oriented programming and web development technologies; (iv) familiarity with the PHP5 and readiness to adopt PHP7; (v) strong initiative, innovative and team-work spirit; (vi) good interpersonal and communication skills; (vii) a good command of both Chinese and English; and (viii) a track record of web/mobile application development. The appointee will work for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youth Project (CLAP for Youth @ JC)’ in the Faculty of Education supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The appointee will (a) work with IT team members to build the web application for the e-education platform and resources; (b) be responsible for the programming, implementation and maintenance of website(s) and application system(s); and (c) provide technical support in key aspects of the Project, including but not limited to project implementation, project report development, publicity and dissemination events. Appointment will be made on a contract basis for 1 to 3 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year or longer contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
