Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society.

The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the Government in combatting illegal gambling. In 2019/20, the Club made a record return to the Government of HK$19.9 billion in duty and profits tax and contributed HK$0.8 billion to the Lotteries Fund. Assistant Customer Digital Experience Development Manager (PO)
 

The Department
The Customer and International Business Development Division (C&I) is responsible for providing quality wagering experience to local and overseas customers of The Hong Kong Jockey Club. It operates 88 Race Meetings a year, 33 Simulcasts days, a thrice-weekly Mark 6 Draw, 7X24 Digital Channels, 7X24 Football Betting Services on over 11,000 different leagues per year. The ultimate aim is to provide an impressive total customer experience leading to sustainable turnover growth in a responsible manner.
The Customer Digital Experience Department is responsible for leading and managing development projects of digital wagering experience and customer service digital transformation. Besides project management, its scope includes content requirement definition, user-interface and user experience design, as well as the look and feel based on customer insights and product requirements.

The Job
You will:

  • Support Customer Digital Experience Development Manager in delivering user centred digital application projects across the Club’s range of digital channels, including mobile app, website, e-commerce and cross-media platforms.
  • Transform business analysis, customer feedback and/or market research outcomes in to digital business insights and product requirement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop product roadmap and features development plan.
  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including Epic, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Be part of the scrum team, work closely with development team to maximize value of sprint deliveries
  • Demonstrable experience with Agile methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum and tools such as Jira, Confluence and Slack.
  • Work with UI designer for the user interface
  • Support user acceptance test and product launch activities.

About You
You should have:

  • A bachelor degree or above in Business, Digital Product Design, Information Technology, Information System, or other relevant disciplines.
  • At least 6 years of proven working experience in Consulting / Digital Solution / Technology project management
  • A solid working experience within an agile team on digital products implementation.
  • A strong interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders. Easily understand people idea and turn it into action.
  • An excellent written and verbal communication (English and Chinese).
  • An excellent working attitude, self-motivated and being a team player.
  • Product Owner experience and knowledge of Agile & Scrum development techniques and management tools like JIRA
  • Certified SAFe product owner is a plus
  • Knowledge on horse racing is a define advantage
  • A portfolio demonstration during the interview.

Terms of employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
