The CIC is looking for a highly talented individual to fill the position of:
Assistant Director – Mainland Liaison Services

 

The applicant must possess 

  1. a recognised degree in built environment / construction / engineering / business management or other related disciplines;
  2. a minimum of 15 years’ post-qualification experience in the field of built environment / construction / engineering / surveying or construction related business development;
  3. excellent understanding of the business practices and construction industry market trends of Hong Kong and Mainland China;
  4. strong construction business network and good knowledge of construction regulations in Mainland China is highly preferred;
  5. excellent organisation, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with outstanding attention to details;
  6. proactive, resourceful, creative, energetic character and the ability to work independently as well as a strong team player;
  7. ability to meet tight schedule and work under pressure independently and manage to priorities multiple tasks; and
  8. excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including proficiency in Putonghua.

Duties include 

  1. to formulate policy as well as to work out business plan for identification of business opportunities for Hong Kong construction industry stakeholders under the Greater Bay Area initiative;
  2. to formulate implementation plan to promote and present Mainland opportunities to Hong Kong industry stakeholders, as well as to promote the strengths of Hong Kong construction industry, including training, worker registration, professional services, etc.;
  3. to serve as the principal focal point for the provision of all aspects of the Greater Bay Area developments for CIC;
  4. to liaise with industry stakeholders, including government, NGOs, private sectors, etc. both in Hong Kong and Mainland, for identification of mutual needs and formulation of corresponding actions;
  5. to build a knowledge base and serve as a resources centre through liaison with various parties and identify potential areas for collaboration and participation;
  6. to match supply and demand between Hong Kong and Mainland construction and professional services;
  7. to identify appropriate parties for CIC to collaborate with Mainland initiatives; and
  8. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
