The HKUST MBA Program Office is searching for a capable and dynamic individual to fill the post of Assistant Director in the Marketing & Admissions team. Reporting to the Associate Dean and Program Director of MBA, the candidate will lead a team to develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top MBA candidates globally, with focus on the following key areas: 

  • Digital Marketing and Programs Promotion: Plan and implement effective traditional and digital marketing strategies to raise positive awareness and preference of the HKUST MBA Programs. 

  • Channel Establishment: Develop partnerships to open up new channels for talent recruitment, such as corporates, event organizers, local agencies, foreign chambers and other organizations to recruit high potential candidates.
     
  • Talent Recruitment:  Represent the school in overseas and local events/fairs to identify and attract a high quality pool of potential candidates for the MBA Programs, build connection with them, and convert them into applicants.
     
  • Candidates Retention and Expectation Setting: Manage the admission process, craft and implement effective strategies to yield and retain high quality admitted candidates, and to set realistic expectations among candidates during the pre-enrolment stage.


The appointee will also work closely with other senior management of the MBA Program office on setting the strategic direction initiatives related to the MBA programs; hence, a comprehensive understanding of the MBA programmatic value chain will be a plus. Considerable international travels are required for this role.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and preferably a master degree with at least 7 years of work experience. Candidates with prior experience in admissions for self-financed MBA or MSc programs, education management and digital marketing are highly preferred. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent command of written and spoken English. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
